The Mystery

We’re not in Kansas anymore. We’re in the odds business.

Dorothy Grail wants money, glamour, Park Avenue and preferably someone else to pay for all of it. A very inconvenient tornado drops her Kansas farmhouse into a stranger world, where a falling house kills the Wicked Witch of the Northeast and Dorothy acquires a pair of ruby flip-flops.

Following the Goldbricker Road toward the Emeril City, she collects a Scarecrow looking for cash, a Lion looking for a scam, and a silent Tin Man whose coat seems to contain every prop ever purchased by a dinner theatre. Waiting at the end is the mysterious Wizard of Odds, a casino operator who knows rather more about the evening than he should.

Then the body count rises. The suspects turn on one another. And the audience gets the case.

The Experience

The audience does not merely watch the road. It gets dragged onto it.

Guests meet the suspects before the scripted action begins. Audience members become Uncle Henery and Aunt Eminem, Brenda the Witch of the North by Northwest and her Minchkin friends, the Emeril City Doorman, and the Flying Monkeys.

After Act Two, the room questions the suspects directly. Then every table submits a solution before Act Three reveals who killed Dorothy Grail — and why.
