Bridgerdon Abbey illuminated at night for a masquerade ball, with distant guests, fireworks, masks and champagne on a stone terrace.

Interactive Musical Comedy Murder Mystery

Bridgerdon Abbey

England, 1836

Fortunes. Fiancés. False identities. A fatal snuff of scandal.

At Bridgerdon Abbey, appearances are everything. Unfortunately, nobody can keep one up for very long.

The Mystery

A grand estate. A desperate marriage plan. A masquerade with terrible timing.

Bridgerdon Abbey is going broke. Dame Arabella Thistlewhistle has one elegant solution: marry her fiercely independent daughter, Lady Penelope Speedstick, to the wealthy Lord Hickenbottom before the family fortune disappears completely.

Penelope wants no part of him. Stableboy Rupert Dingle has plans of his own. Then the masquerade begins—bringing disguises, romantic maneuvering, musical parody, audience participation and, before the evening is over, the poisoning of Dame Thistlewhistle.

The result is a deliberately ridiculous collision of aristocratic melodrama, romantic excess and Mystery Theatre Unlimited’s broad interactive comedy. The world looks far more elegant than the people behaving inside it.
